
#WhatAboutUs with Kindred Squared, Parent-Infant Foundation and partners
Marking the first anniversary of lockdown, we created #WhatAboutUs, a campaign that highlighted the impact of the pandemic on babies and families. Working with Kindred Squared, the Parent-Infant Foundation and more than 200 charities including NSPCC, Action for Children and NCT, we developed a social and email campaign to raise awareness of the lack of funding for this age group.
Since lockdown began, more than 600,000 babies have been born. There has been little assessment of the risks posed to their development. The first two years are critical for learning, physical and mental health, and socialisation. Yet government Covid catch up funding excluded this group. #WhatAboutUs was designed to spotlight this gap, raise public awareness and push for urgent action
