Bowel cancer awareness film and documentary production
A personal story with lasting impact
When our Creative Director and Co-Founder, Dan, decided to share his experience of bowel cancer, the aim wasn't simply to tell his story. It was to help others better understand the emotional, physical and practical realities of living with the disease, while demonstrating the power of honest, human storytelling.
Produced in partnership with one of our trusted collaborators, the film combines thoughtful direction with high-quality production to create an authentic and deeply personal account. By giving space to the realities of treatment, recovery and family life, it shows how sensitive filmmaking can build empathy and help audiences connect with complex healthcare experiences.
Dan's experience has also shaped how we work at Rhodium. It gives us a genuine understanding of the patient perspective and informs the way we approach healthcare and charity projects, ensuring every production is handled with empathy, respect and care.
Trigger warning: This film includes discussion of bowel cancer treatment, surgery, stoma usage, and the emotional and physical realities that follow. Please take care when watching.
