Film, photography and live content at Victorious Festival

Capturing Jay Forster b2b Gem Dc live at Henry’s House

We joined DJs @JayForster and @Gem.Dc at Victorious Festival to capture their back-to-back set at Henry’s House through film and photography.

Working with a lean set-up, we got in amongst the set, crowd and wider festival atmosphere, creating film, photography and social content designed for use across different channels. The aim was to capture the energy of the day as it happened, rather than over-produce it.

The final content included a full event film for YouTube and LinkedIn, short-form Reels for Instagram and Facebook, Stories content and a bank of photography for social and promotional use.

We also tested something different

Alongside the film and photography, we used Victorious as an opportunity to experiment with how creative content could become part of the live experience itself.

We developed and tested an interactive visual concept designed to respond to the DJs and audience in real time, exploring how music, live visuals and audience interaction could work together during a set.

The technology worked successfully in testing, but connectivity at the festival meant we weren’t able to run the experience live on the day. It was still a useful proof of concept and sparked lots of ideas about how we could take this further for future artists, venues and live events.

Victorious was one of the first projects in a new area we’re exploring at Rhodium, bringing together our experience in creative, film, photography and production with our love of music and live experiences.
